Ok, so I was doing this paper and I need help in the following questions:
3,6,19,20amd 27.
Thats all. Explanation is expected. :D

3. the driver wants to complete his journey in 2 hours,so u must first subtract the time spent on coffee and traffic jam ( which amounts to 0.75 hours) from 2.0...u will get 1.25....divide 75 by 1.25...
6. answer is C...use F=ma....F will be forward force - frictional force....u will get : 10-4=2 x a....then 6=2 x a...then u will get a=3...
19. i dont know about this one...i find this the most confusing topic :'(...i'll let u know as soon as i find out
20. again,i'm not sure, but i think it is D because if the light is striking at 90* then it should pass undeviated...
27. i think it is D....because if u assign 2 ohms to all the resistors and find the total resistance of all the options, then D will give u 8/6 ohms, which is the least...
i hope this helps...if u find any useful notes on converging lens, plz let me know,as i am not at all good at that topic

ummm...does anyone have physix marking schemes for da year 2003, 2002 n 2001..... its urgent!!

3,6,19,20amd 27.
Thats all. Explanation is expected. :D
3)D since acceleration due to gravity is constant
6)A Ithink the diatance from the pivot is the same for the mass and the flour, so 2 bags weighs 3kg
19)D by elimination. All the others are nonsense
20)C transvers and longitudinal
27)B a south pole is induced at P

Sorry I thought it was for cie. You meant edexcel. Will look now

I am sorry first I thought cie igcse then edexcel igcse then edexcel o level be fore i found it was in fact cie o level
3.c as explanation above
6.c as explanation above
19. d a longer focal length will bring the light to a focus further from the lens
20 d since light should enter prism undeviated
27 a since all resistance in parallel
-
can u plz explain 27? why wouldn't it be D?
-
if each resistance is 10 then
a. 1/r=1/10+1/10=1/5 so R=5
d. 1/r=1/10+1/20=3/20 so r=20/3=6.7

ok thanx...and could u also plz explain november 2007 22,23,26,32,33,35 and ,37?

22 ) Sunbed - it uses UV rays
23 ) A - it is assumed that light reaches in no time, however it still takes very less time
26 ) D - due to the positive charge, the surface opposite to the ball will become negative and thus the other side of the ball will become positive
32 ) B - Due to large current flow, the fuse melts and does its work
33 ) C - the electrons movement is from left to right , however the conventional current is from right to left , using the flemming's left hand rule, the electrons are deflected towards the bottom
35 ) C - as the direction of the magnet is reverse, the pointer moves to the left but as the movement of the magnet stops the pointer comes back to zero
37 ) B - lamp P is getting the full current , but lamp Q and R are each getting half of the whole current.
