I have English Literature on Thursday and am freaking confused. I have done As You Like It, To Kill a Mocking Bird, Poetry and Into the wind.
I have got As You Like It and Mocking Bird covered. But there is nothing on the internet for Poetry and Into the Wind. Please help with these two and I can give a guide for the other two that is TKAMB and AYLIT available if someone needs them. IT is not sparknotes it is Enotes. If anybody needs it drop me a line.
-
What questions are you preparing for TKAM?
-
wow Can you kindly give me your poetry and TKAMB notes to: vincentfong888@gmail.com
-
Doing the same exam this thursday, do you have open book exam? I dont :( i have closed books
I'm afraid im doing completely different texts from you, i am doing Lord of the Flies, Pride and Prejudice, The Crucible and Poetry...
I can help you with poetry, any poems that you don't like ?
its good to share opinions here, to have a wider understanding...
-
What poems are u expecting?
Both passage based and otherwise.
Is there a chance of repeating the passage based poem with a different question?
-
R u doing Things Fall Apart
-
since the poetry "songs of Ourselves" has only been on the exam for 2 years, only the following passages have come up:
1) Storyteller
2) Farmhand
3) Before the Sun
4) Rising five
im almost 100% sure that they will not repeat a same passage
I;m hoping mid-tearm break shows up, but wouldn't mind monologue or maybe even muliebrity?
-
Can I leave out those four?
Which one are u predicting?
-
ok im taking literature but theres a trick to it just make a point give examples and explain.thats will help you! you domnt need to take anything else!goodluck
-
i wouldnt leaev them out... revise them all
but i would say there is less chance of there being a passage based on them...
revise everything
-
thanks!

do u need any opinions on it?
Monologue
Hone Tuwhare
I like working near a door. I like to have my work-bench
close by, with a locker handy.
Here, the cold creeps in under the big doors, and in the
summer hot dust swirls, clogging the nose. When the
big doors open to admit a lorry-load of steel, 5
conditions do not improve. Even so, I put up with it,
and wouldn’t care to shift to another bench, away from
the big doors.
As one may imagine this is a noisy place with smoke
rising, machines thumping and thrusting, people 10
kneading, shaping, and putting things together.
Because I am nearest to the big doors I am the farthest
away from those who have to come down to shout
instructions in my ear.
I am the first to greet strangers who drift in through the 15
open doors looking for work. I give them as much
information as they require, direct them to the offices,
and acknowledge the casual recognition that one
worker signs to another.
I can always tell the look on the faces of the successful 20
ones as they hurry away. The look on the faces of the
unlucky I know also, but cannot easily forget.

Why will they the questions them ?

there is time
