Thats the best one for computer science university, and nearly alll sciences

I went to UCL.
-
I didn't see what BBC said, but surely Stanford should be on that list?
-
Maybe the BBC is being quirky. I am surprised to see UCL so high.
-
would u know what uni offers masters in actuarial mathematics and statistics or something within that field. im havin trouble tring to find a uni that does any course along those lines. im currently at kingston and would prefer to stay around and in london
-
Thats encouraging...
I got an offer from Imperial for 39 IB points, but UCLA and Berkeley rejected me (all for Com. Sci.). Bastards. I can now laugh in their faces!
-
Anybody have the idea of the best university for medicine?
-
I think it depends on whether you want research or practice. InEngland the best research University is Oxford, but I think the best teaching University is UCL. I think it also depends on whether you want to specialise in something after you graduate and whether you intend to work as a surgeon at some point.
-
mm...I see :o
-
Are you thinking of medicine? I know a Doctor on the Interviewing panel at Kings College LOndon. I thought of asking him to write some nots on interviewing and hints. He asked me to build him a website.
-
Really! Thank you ..But you know its a bit early...I still didnt sit for my exams...
I think in the AS I'll begin taking my decision...
-
BBC is for surely mistaken with one thing
wheres stanford??
and im surprised to see U.C.L in that list and stanford not included ???
but yeah Massachusetts Institute of Technology <3 8) (See you after 2 years lol)
-
I think Manchester is very good for medicine if I remember correctly.
However, from what I've heard from people applying to Unis for Medicine, the courses are very different - you have to decide how much patient contact you want to have etc. I remember someone saying something about a university where you have massive amount of patient contact and have to essentially teach youself.
-
You can never judge universities by rankings. However, did BBC journalists even study in those universities to gain the experience???

I went to UCl heh heh heh.

Guys it rlly depends on how much money u can spare
But i knwo that malaysia is a gr8 place to stdy and it reasonalbe.
But the best american institution for medicine i believe is John Hopkins.
I think of u wanna a western education, it would be best to go to america as england is amazingly expensive if u r an expat, but if u r a part of the commonwealth or even the eu, then u can try out in english uni's as they are 1/4 of the price then normal usually.
But if u r not in any of these america and malaysia would be best...
And if u wanna study surgery then the royal institute of surgery in ireland would be a good choice.
It all comes down to
1. Nationality
2. Desired subject
3. How much cash u can spare

@slvri: Then you have a great chance at MIT and Yale because you have a 'legacy' at these schools.
Are you doing SAT's? Whats your IGCSE/A-Level grades? Where are you from?
If you have questions about American U's, I'm happy to answer all of them and feel free to ask!

Leadership Qualities such as being a prefect.
entrepreneural abilities like participating in Junior achievement.
And also good comments from teachers.
A very passionate letter to apply for the University.
And in truth u are the 'real deal', u aint a wimp, u are patriotic, kind, passionate etc. They aint looking for nerds, they're lookin for champions....

As someone who has a bachelors and a masters in audio engineering, I can say it's going to be tough to find a program that's 2 or 3 years that's going to give you a good audio engineering background with the electronics. Many of the shorter audio programs skimp on the electronics cause there's so much material to cover on the audio side.
As for a 4 year program, a lot of bachelors degrees in music engineering make you take a good number of electronics courses, and there are schools with acoustics degrees or electronics degrees that require you to take audio courses - and there are schools that will let you build your own curriculum.the best university in audio engineering!
-
It would be too much effort for me he i were off to uni now.

In England, all Medical Universities are equally as good as each other. It is the course structure that varies, however at the end of the degree, you always leave with a MbChB so it's the same everywhere.
That said, Cambridge university remains the elite university for medicine whilst it is generally considered that ICL and UCL are better courses whilst still being elite universities. In reality, it doesn't matter where you go at all - at the end of the day, wherever you go, you leave with the same degree.
-
Top American universities also offer online courses which cost less then regular ones. You can check out http://www.thedegreeexperts.com for the list of various online courses provided by top US universities and can choose the best one amongst these.

Extra curricular activities count too. . .
