Title: History and geography queries/resources (+ GEO P4 ADVICE!!)

i know that its about the spanish civil war, but iv attached something that could help for any source question, both in paper 2 and even possibly in paper 4 as well. just a few tips. its only one page though !

hey guys, i wanted to get the NOV2008 map but this is what i got
If you email
international@cie.org.uk with a request for the map,
quoting your centre number, the session date and
component number of the examination, the map will
be emailed to you.

Also, how can you study for paper 4 (alternative to coursework), do you just practise past papers... or text book...???

i did email them once and i was told to get it frm my skul
apparently my skul does not hv enuf copies if u email them and they sent u the map could u kindly email me the map and any other map u hv on cool_kassam@yahoo.co.uk
i would appreciate if u could do it ASAP as my exams are on Friday and yah if u hv any other maps plz email me i always hv problems in  the map qns wen solving soo the solution 2 my problem is to get these maps inorder 2 solve past paper qns

Im pretty scared about History paper 2... i find it the hardest paper, because all the questions seem the same and i feel like im repeating my answers. Ok first of all, stupid question, but has there been any past paper 2 on the Spanish Civil War? Secondly, what do we need to know about it, and how do we write our answers, as in, do we have to start by describing the source? I'm pretty good at history, but paper 2 is my weakest, so I'd appreciate all the help i can get. Thanks  :)

try doing the winter and summer 2003 source papers! they are about Hitler too, just not the spanish civil war. theyre about anschluss and appeasment, and im sure it will be good practice :)

just remember that with sources paper, USE THE SOURCES dont just say something without backing it up from the sources.
since you say you are good at history, dont worry you will be fine! also, try to focus on quality not quantity :)

where there is a bunch of answers, 3@1 mark means 3 answers/points, each at 1 mark, so total marks for that questions is 3.

in mark scheme of Q1.C.i da actual width & height have been multiplied by 2, i don no why?????????

I looked through the past papers and some questions i've never seen in my life. Do we just practice pp's and we'll be fine?

i find paper 4 very hard. its really weird and even if you study for it its still hard :S i think you need to just practice cuz theres no way of learning it. and also dont forget to do the topic about weather instruments, its really important for paper 4!!

theyre both the same really, the ms has more answers and the examiner's report is if you want to know mistakes you want to avoid.

How do you answer the "how far" questions in Paper 1. I know that you are supposed to give 3 paragraphs stating your point of view, the other point of view, and a conclusion. But what does the conclusion contain? Is it just supposed to repeat what you wrote in the 1st paragraph about why what opinion you agree with? What are you supposed to write and are you supposed to write about why you agree with this opinion cuz isn't that what you're supposed to do in paragraph 1? How is different from the 1st and 2nd paragraphs in terms of points and all that stuff?
