Title: IS IT true
Post by: Freaked12 on May 19, 2009, 05:40:52 pm
i heard it from someone and its being confirmed by other people as well that its easier to score A in additional mathematics than Computer studies/ICT/IT/ because the curve in add maths is really low(i wonder why :P) and the curve in ICT/IT/COMPUTER STUDIES is really high.

tbh i am kinda fed up with this "depending upon others".they need to change this :-[

and let me tell u
additional math is damn difficult
100 times more difficult than computer studies..
a 1000 times more difficult than mathematics

Fewer people take Additional Mathematics, and they are likely to be the clever ones. Therefore, the GTs aren't all that low. In fact, they're higher than Extended Maths. To get an A, you need 80% +

The grade boundaries for Additional math are different that IGCSE Math Core and EXT.. Its still math but like 2 different subjects lol

Theoretically speaking it should be easier to score an A in additional math due to the low grade boundaries. But the boundaries are low for a reason. Additional math is no doubt much harder than IT. To score 80% + in an IT exam is much easier to score than in additional math. In reality it is much harder to get an A in additional math because you have to be in the top percentage of all of those who took it.
