thanks a lot yaar :) :D
-
wats da difference between a pipette and burette
-
a pippete is used to add a few drops of a solution (no measurement) whereas a burette is used to add accurate quantity of solution
-
doesnt a pippette measure 25cm3?
and a burette measures up to 50cm3 and up to two dicimal places
thats wot our chemistry teacher told us
-
25cm3 pipette! this is the first time ever heard of such a pipette. it may be that i'm wrong but i still don't think a pipette is that big. :)
-
yeah but there are 2 types
a dropper pippette and a pippette
or i think so
the dropper pippette is the one with no measurements
anyone have the nigel straney book? it says so in there
-
i'm not sure...
-
let me clear that
Burette- A long glass tube with a tap on the end. The tube is marked every 1 cm3 with smaller graduations of 0.1cm3. It is used in titrations to accurately measure small volumes (upto 50cm3) of liquid.
Pipette-A piece of glassware used for measuring and transferring a fixed volume of liquid.
and godfather there r pipettes that measure 50cm3too. I've seen them in my lab. And actually we have used 25cm3 pipettes for our practical experiments.
kam the dropper is also called a teat pipette. that's a teat pipette(http://www.abbeyessentials.co.uk/img/hi/Teat%20Pipette%20Hi.jpg)

i never knew about that. do u have a picture or something. i was always under the wrong impression then because i haven't seen one that big.
-
hello everyone
you can get note for all subjects from this site: www.crampuppy.com
All the notes are free
Enjoyy!!:)
-
heres 25cm3(http://lh3.ggpht.com/PhantomCLF/SCw0WtFQGVI/AAAAAAAABYU/FVVXpswcIjo/pipette_thumb1.jpg)
ill look for the 50cm3one too. but u can trust me. ive seen them being used.
-
thanks! :D
(but usually pipettes are smaller than burettes, right?)
-
okay heres the 50ml. ive attached it
generally pipettes error increases with the volume. so they r generally used for small volumes.
-
thanks for clearing my doubt and giving me some extra knowledge. how many subjects do you take?
-
i take 8 subjects which includes the 3 sciences, maths, languages english and french, ICT and eco.
w8 abt u??
-
i take 9 subjects - maths, physics, chemistry, biology, english, french, geography, history, ict.
-
more ppts..
gd luck
:)
-
40 downloads
wow!!
-
i have more
i'll upload them soon
