Nicholas Parsons who hosts one of my favourite radio programs, Just a Minute, is doing voiceovers to a company offering loans at 4000%. He is only the latest of a series of celebs doing tacky advertisements for  money.
Ray Winstone/Shane Warne are promoting online casinos.
Bruce Willis is promoting broadband.
At least Tony Blair only promotes Tony Blair, for now anyway.

It is a bit disappointing when celebrities endorse things that seem ethically questionable. It makes you wonder if they really thought about it. This whole situation kind of reminds me of getting addicted to time-wasting games like Block Blast (https://blockblastsaga.com/) . Easy to get into, but you start questioning where all your time went after a while!
