in j08 Q 10.......i solved most of it already..
but i need someone to solve all of it with explanation PLZ!!
thank u in advance
-
part (a) im sure ne1 can do...
part (b): (i) luk at the grid given above...20 is in place of g n 8 in place of x...so the difference is 12
therefore,,,g=x+12....
and "i" is g+2 ie x+12+2=x+14....
for part (ii) and (iii) u substitute the above values in place of i, x, g and c respectively......ull get same answers as u got in part (a)......
part (c): (i) and (ii)---take any 3*3 grid....substitute them in place of alphabets accordingly n use these values to get ur answers....
part (d)
(i) u directly write 4 <this is bcz as u must hv noticed that the answer will be same for ne 3*3 grid chosen from ne n*n grid>
(ii)for this luk at the 5*5 grid on top of the page<in qp>n consider the 1st 3*3 grid....
note that g is x+10.......n also in the 6*6 grid<the very 1st one> u got g as x+12.....
this shows that the number v get (10 and 12) is twice of n >>>>2n......(n means no. of blocks on one side)
therefore,,,for this question the answer will be g=x+2n and for "i" it will be g+2 which is x+2n+2
(iii) c=x+2 <as stated b4> and x=x...the rest v just got above,,,,so substitute n solve....the answer ull get aftr all the cancellations will be 4n...
hope u got it n dat i helped!!! ;D
