i cant do a step in ICT 2009 o/n paper 2
46. Produce a new report from all the data which:
• uses only the Staff and Number fields
• calculates the sum of the Number field for each member of Staff
• counts the number of holidays sold by each member of Staff

this is one of the meanest questions and they will come a lot.
Now when u want to produce a report you have to produce a query nd as far as i remember you should use the query design and then the report.
Any way that's just a skim of what you have to do.
tomorrow i will be at school and i will do that question for you and give you the answer in details.

but i know how to make a normal report, this report is a bit strange
i have no idea how to calculate the sum for EACH member of staff!

OK, so this one's really old but I'm still going to write my answer for future reference.
1. Open the Query Wizard.
2. Select only the fields 'Staff' and 'Number'.
3. Click 'Next' and select 'Summary' from the options provided.
4. Click on 'Summary options', this will open a small window.
5. In this case, click on the 'Sum' radio box and the 'Count records in N9Book' on the bottom right of the window. Click OK.
6. Go through the rest of the wizard as you'd normally do.
7. Create a report using this query.
Et voila! :D
