AS Unit 3: Exploring Physics *Unit code 6PH03
Content summary:
This unit involves an experiment that is based on a physics-based visit or a case study
of an application of physics.
Assessment:
This unit is assessed by means of an experiment that is founded on either a physics based
visit or a case study of an application of physics. Students write a report that is
either internally marked and externally moderated or externally marked by Edexcel.

In your case, I think ... it's the case study of application of Physics.
I tried searching for a sample but so far I couldn't find much. Will post here if I do find something. :)
Try going through this. ;) (http://www.edexcel.com/migrationdocuments/GCE%20New%20GCE/UA024825%20GCE%20in%20Physics%20Iss4%20260510.pdf)

Where do u study - in a school or independently? If u will register urself through the British Council then u will hav to take the written alternative to prac paper.
If u r taking ur exam through a UK centre which probably is a school or a college, then only u can take the coursework option. Otherwise, u will hav to sit for the Written Alternative to Practical paper.
You can ask ur teacher to help. Ask around at TSR or try googling it. Alternatively, go to the Coursework site of this forum itself.
