Title: help.....igcse combined science ???
Post by: rose95 on June 08, 2011, 07:05:04 pm
did anybody take one of these subjects?   ??? im thinking of taking either combined or co-ordinated science but i don't really know the difference  :-\
since my school doesn't provide them but it provides each science subject separately. i've done all the three subjects (physics, chemistry & biology), & i would like to take combined science in oct/nov session , so would it be hard for me ?

Since you've already done the sciences separately why would you want to answer an entirely new exam based on the exact same syllabus ?

If you've learnt all that detail, why waste it by writing an exam which tests a third of each subject only?! You've spent three years preparing for these subjects, so why not monopolise on the work you've put in by seeing them through to the end?
But because combined science tests a part of the physics, chemistry and biology syllabi, it will be possible to write it... whether it will be hard depends on how well you understand the work you've already studied.
