ok so the attacments are kinda big too
anyway i will explain it here then >>
june 2005 q 4 i >
x=tan0 (0> theta)
x2 = tan20
dx = sec20 d0
substitute throughout and use identities to get the answer
-
june 2005 q 10 ii
(4 -2 2) - (2 2 1) = (2 -4 1)
november 2005 q 10 ii
r = (2 2 1)+t(1 -2 2)
(x y z)=(2+t 2-2t 1+2t)
substitute these values of xyz into the plane equation
solve for t, t= 2/3
get the values of x y z but substituting t
use distance = sqroot [ (x-x1)2 + (y-y1)2 + (z-z1)2 ]
x1 y1 z1 are >> (2 2 1) from the equation of a line
june 2009 q 9 ii) is the same as above
november 08 q10 part iv) >>>
1. 4+2i
2. 4+2i * w
3. 4+2i / w
solve the last two complex numbers and u will get ur vertices.
