Unit 1 chemistry includes 6 chapters only. 1: chemical quantities 2: Energetics 3: Atomic and electronic structures. 4: Bonding and structure 5: Introduction to organic chemistry 6: Hydrocarbons : alkanes and alkenes.
Why in the June 2005 question paper of unit 1 have they included questions on the topic " shapes of molecules" and angles... Isn't that supposed to be a part of unit 2 only? Im confused weather or not to study the full thing or just unit 1. Because I have a physics exam "cie" on the same day and I dont have much time. Any help regarding this is greatly appreciated.

Shapes of molecules is in Unit 2.
Just so you know , the syllabus/format of the exam papers has changed since 2008 ;)
the six chapters you have mentioned are the ones included in Unit 1 only.
Just study for Unit 1 if you're taking an exam in the Unit 1 paper :)
