Wow, this is the one thing I know about in biology :)

A dicotyledon plant is broad, and have a 'network' of veins. (http://homepage.smc.edu/hodson_kent/plant_growth/Angiosperms/tissues/dicot_leaf.jpg) <-- this is a picture of one so you know what I mean.

A monocotyledon is the opposite. They are long and narrow, with very straight veins. The veins are parallel. (http://data:image/jpeg;base64,/9j/4AAQSkZJRgABAQAAAQABAAD/2wCEAAkGBhQSERUUEhQUFBQUFxQUFBQUFBQUFBQUFRUXFRQUFBQXHCYeFxkkGRQUHy8gJCcpLCwsFR4xNTAqNSYrLCkBCQoKDgwOGg8PFCkcHBwsKSkpKSkpKSkpKSkpKSwpKSkpKSkpKSws) <-- There is a picture of one so you know what that looks like too.

Hope this helps, and that you manage to see it ;)

Sorry the monocotyledon pic didn't come up, here's the url - http://www.ohio.edu/people/braselto/readings/images/050404_leaf_venation.jpg that's got a dicotyledon too, so you can compare it :)
