Hey guys,
explain how the structure of a villus helps absorption of the products of digestion in the
small intestine
-
The small intestine is lined with tiny-finger like projections known as the villus. It has a large surface area for easy absorption of digested food materials.
Each villus has a network of blood capillaries, providing a way for the digested food particles to go directly to the bloodstream.
