Title: Can the scale factor of sheer or stretch be negative ??

Yes it can. It moves to the other side of the centre of enlargement.

When youstretch you still need a direction of stretch starting from a certain point. I think therefore that it would be negastive if stretched by the same facture in the other direction.

Till now I cant handle the shear and enlargement thing in transformations thing!

dude chill yes it can it will be behind the invariant line if you know the transformation matrix then u can easily substitute the factor wiz costant value k
