However, you dont need to know this in IGCSE, this is required A Level.

You only need to know the properties of the transition elements. Also, that they form simple ions with more than one oxidation states. For example, Cu+ (Cu(I)) and Cu2+, in compounds such as Cu2O and CuSO4
