Is IGCSE Math core maths? Cuz when I downloaded the exampaper, it said math paper 1 (core)
I need sm1 to reply as soon as possible Thanks...
-
Core Maths as far as I know is the Edexcel O level/IGCSE maths not the CIE IGCSE math ;)
-
CIE IGCSE has core and extended maths. You choose one of these. Either core or Maths.
Paper 1 and 2 are core.
Paper 2 and 4 are extended.
Good Luck. ;)

Paper 1 - for both core and extended students
Paper 2 - for core students
Paper 3 - for extended students
Paper 6/Paper 5 - for both extended and core students - I am not sure about paper 5.
:)

So cn I give both?
And is GCE or IGCSE better? Both have the same difficulty but which certificate is better? I guess IGCSE

IGCSE is a curriculum mostly followed in the Middle East and is considered equivalent to the GCE O'level. However, the syllabuses carried out for both the exams are different. - British. GCSE's are harder.
Refer to this - http://www.britishcouncil.org/srilanka-exams-gce-levels.htm
I dont think you can do both Core and Extended. :-\ If you take extended, you'll have paper's that are same as the core papers. If you know what I mean. ::)
IGCSE is aimed at a wide ability range of students, with a range of grades awarded from A* (highest grade) to G (lowest). There is a core (D to G) and extended (A* to C) curriculum available in many subjects.
Choose wisely. :)

Your exam coordinator is an idiot. If you're doing IGCSE Mathematics you either do core OR extended.
Unless you're doing Additional Maths.
