Post by: lisahamed on February 18, 2011, 03:50:21 pm
Hi guys!
Could anyone say if Cambridge O-Level allows Casio 991ES in their examinations?
I would appreciate if anyone could help me out.
Thanks.

Caculator ? Is that something new ? Any difference from a regular calculator ?

To answer your question : Take whatever calc you want into the exam hall, except a graphical one, just dont start asking if you can use xyz calc in the exam ;)

Get my drift ?

This depends where you are giving the exam.

If you are giving the exam in your own school, it would be in yout best interest not to take that calculator as it is not allowed in the O-Level.

However, if you are going to the exam and it is being conducted by the British Council, then take any calculator. Calculators are ignored here, because there are so many people taking the exam, the council does not have the time to check each individual calculator. However, if you are caught by any random chance, my some overbearing local examiner, you will be disqualified for the examination.

In simple terms, if you are giving the exam in your school take a calcualtor that is allowed. If the BC, then take whatever you want, there is little risk involved.

Yes, Casio 991ES is allowed in the Cambridge Exams. I myself used Casio 991ES for Additional Mathematics, Mathematics and Statistics.

Of course Casio 991ES is allowed in Cambridge exams. Many of my friends used it in their exams.
