Title: getting an A* in A levels
Post by: The_Last_Dragon on February 01, 2011, 11:32:55 am
Hey guys - it seems a long while since i last visited, during my IGCSE...i'm now doing my A levels, through things aren't as simple as they used to be for IGCSE

i know that you can split your A levels into two - AS and A2 sections and do the papers in separate exam sessions

my real worries stem from this fact - is it possible to get an A* if you split your A levels and do the papers in separate sessions?  - or do you have to do all the papers in a single session to get A*?

Thanks in advance

username - could you confirm it? - do you have a link to where the official Cambridge exam rules state this?

sorry for asking for all this, but this is a serious issue i'm facing and i need some hard evidence to support my choice

I'm telling you its possible.

Its dependent on HOW well you do the papers not WHICH SESSION you do them in.

that's good to hear, thanks :) - i seem to have been mis-led by a senior, who told me that an A* is only possible if you do all the papers together, just because she didn't get good marks herself

oh well, should just have gone by my school's original recommendation

Is there anything important regarding the A levels which i've got to keep in mind?

EDIT: Thanks a lot, username :D
