Title: Ideas for SAT essay examples...
Post by: sweet-angel on January 11, 2011, 02:47:56 pm
Ok, so I'm doing the SAT in a while, want to have a list of good examples to use for the essay part... you know, the kind that can be modified to fit with almost any topic...all the examples I can come up with are always from books :) want to include something else, such as history or politics.

Here are my favourites, anyway

House of Mirth - Edith Wharton
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz - L Frank Baum
To Kill A Mockingbird - Harper Lee
Metamorphosis - Franz Kafka

Ideas, anyone?

I'm a bit confused as to how you want to proceed with this.

Great list! For adaptable examples, consider historical events like the American Civil Rights Movement (perseverance) or scientific breakthroughs like the polio vaccine (innovation). Pop culture also works! Think of Poptropica (https://poptropica.io/) influencing kids' problem-solving skills (adaptation). Diversifying beyond literature adds depth and makes your essay more engaging. Good luck!

That's a great start on your essay examples! It's smart to branch out beyond literature. For history, you could explore the impact of the printing press on the Reformation or the role of the Civil Rights Movement in shaping modern American identity. Thinking about impactful moments like that could give you some really flexible arguments. It's like mastering the slopes in Snow Rider 3D (https://snowrider3dfree.com) - once you've got the basics, you can adapt to any terrain! Good luck with the SAT!
