can all of you taking physics tell me how you are studying for the paper 6. what topics are you revising and how are you revising? (for example are you just doing past papers or other things as well). I'm in some mess, and i' trying to get out of it.
Thanks
-
dont worry about physics its really easy u will realise that once u start doing lots of p6's :P
atm im only doing past papers but im focusing all little more on mirrors /rays and circuits cuz some are hard, some of them are also included in p3.
-
ok. and what about the others?
-
ok. and what about the others?
u mean other exams or topics ?
well i dont study as much p6's for physics as other exams cuz its not tht hard.
other p6 topics are easy, most of the questions already have an equation and u basically put numbers in them to get an answer, and some questions they tell u to measure X-Y etc using a ruler :P
-
do you know if snell's law and the right hand rules are coming in the exam?
-
Solving past papers and knowing all the ideas in them are all what we need.
-
i m just solving past paps
n till now onli done 2 of them
i m in a real bad position
god help me
best of luck 2 u
-
im also doing past papers .. and i see most if u do .. so PLEASEEE any one did this can u tell me how to solve it ???
m/j 2003 paper 6 physics Q4 part b .... please im waiting
can any one also do O/N 2003 Q1 part d Huh? please ..Pleeeaaaseeeee i need these
-
MJ03 b)i) c=1.2*3.142
=3.77 mm=0.37cm
ii) 90 degree -> 0.37
360 degree-> x
x= (using cross multplication) 1.48cm
-
dono why but answer at MS is 0.94 ?
-
?!
I answered this with our tutor today. Going to check
-
MJ03 b)i) c=1.2*3.142
=3.77 mm=0.37cm
ii) 90 degree -> 0.37
360 degree-> x
x= (using cross multplication) 1.48cm
sweetsh i think ur answer is wrong .. we should devide 3.77mm by 4 which gives us 0.94 mm
-
Yes i) is right ii) is wrong. I blame my teacher, sorry.
-
its ok ,,,
but how did u know to divide by 4 ???
-
you have to divide it by four because it says that the pointer moved through to 90o. And 900 is 1/4 of the pin's circumference.
-
ic ... thanks
if any one could do Nov. 2003 Q1 d), that would be great
-
Which paper?
-
Astar it is definitely paper 6!
-
look the volume of the cylinder is = by* r2*r
then volume of m = 1/3 of the volume of the cylinder ..............right
so vm=1/3 by r3(0.6)3=0.5
i wish u have got it if not tell me may be i could explain more
good luck
-
i dnt get the formula u used .. and how u knew that m=1/2 ?
could u please explain little more .. i appreciate your help . thanks alot

Use the formula Vm=1/3pi*r3
-
how do you know Vm is 1/3*pi*r3
-
yeah ,, how can anyone com up with that ??? how did the r turn r3 ??
-
Cut off the bit at the bottom then from the centre of the hemisphere to the edge and the bottom =r so V=pi*r2h=pi*r3 and take away voume of hemisphere=2/3*pi*r3
Subtract to give Vm=1/3*pi*r3
-
The forum today caused me a headache!
-
how do you know that the volume of the hemisphere is 2/3 of the volume of the sphere
-
exam is in one day .. expect anything ;)
-
ohhhhhhhhhh.... I get it. My bad, it's a hemisphere.
Thanks, finally i get it! :D
-
I know! Im so in a rush and dont know how im studying 3 subjects at a time in addition to the forum!
-
why 3 subjects ? focus on your physics for now .. i can only manage to study 2 subjects .. math at morning and Physics at night .. i cant handle more ..
don't strain your self dear .
-
I know sweety im stressing myself for nothing. And its too late now I should go and sleep. And yes im revising my physics notes for paper6.
God be with us!
Inshalah!
-
inshallah ,, without god help with us we can do nothing no matter how much we study ;]
good night ... i bet u'll have dreams about the exam ;)
