Limewire has closed temporarily at least.
I get this message
LimeWire is under a court order dated October 26, 2010 to stop distributing the LimeWire software. A copy of the injunction can be found here. LimeWire LLC, its directors and officers, are taking all steps to comply with the injunction. We have very recently become aware of unauthorized applications on the internet purporting to use the LimeWire name. We demand that all persons using the LimeWire software, name, or trademark in order to upload or download copyrighted works in any manner cease and desist from doing so. We further remind you that the unauthorized uploading and downloading of copyrighted works is illegal.
I never liked limewire - many viruses, but is sad to see a filesharing site go down.

Like I said before this may set a precedent for other sites like Demonoid.

I dont know why limewire didnt move jurisdiction Many places to go

It used to be THE P2P program to have after that it just fizzled out. It was dying anyways, so its demise was unsurprising.

One of the most popular P2P network it was.
Well i stopped using it anyways due to the viruses , there were a lot.
I use Ares as a substitute for Limewire.
Even PirateBay i heard is having trouble of copyright issues. I just hope it doesnt go down too

Piratebay wont go down I am sure. They have a backup network so if they are disabled they will be back up within 3 minutes.
