Anw i'll take a look at the numbers for ya but i'll be brief. If you dont understand, then i'll elaborate...ok??
18. Increase in pressure is 2heg since the liquid moves by a distance of h in both limbs,i.e h in the first limb and again h in the second limb. so this makes two h.
Answer is D
20. Youngs Modulus = Y= FL/eA where F : force, L :length of wire, e : extension produced and A : area of cross-section.
Since both wires are made of steel ---->same Y
It is said that extension is also the same.
IN other words we can deduce that F is proportional to A/L.
F is taken as the tension.
Fp = A/L
Fq = 0.5A/2L
therefore Fp/Fq = 4
Answer is D
21.Energy stored is given by the area under graph.
Area under graph : (0.5 x 0.1 x 5) + (6 x 0.1) + ( 0.5 x ( 17+6) x 0.1) = 2.0J
Answer is A
24.Half a wavelength is the distance from one antinode to another.
A node is found between two consecutive antinodes.
Answer is B
Am still working on the first two....
