Thanks :)
-
Am doing ig physics now. If you want a topic explained say so.
CRO, time base, and transistors...plzz..thanks
-
I did some radioactivity already. Will do another page and one on transistors.
-
And cro's too.
-
yaa Thanks...
gimme d link wen u done!!
-
yea ... tell us wen u upload d notes to ur website ...
Thanks ;D
-
I upload every day last thing
-
ooh siir could u do refraction n total internal reflection?? Thnkkzz a million ;D
-
I did it somewhere. Maybe for a level physics
-
oh.. Will u do them for ig'z?

hey have a prob in math for these type of sums....plz help..
Grade 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Number of students 1 2 4 7 4 8 2
Students are chosen at random, one by one, from the original 28, until the student
chosen has a grade 5.
Calculate the probability that this is the third student chosen
-
Physics quest...
When dey say start temperature scale on Y axis at 40o...Do u start at origin or point above dat??
And wen dey say draw a circuit diagram to represent a voltmeter connected across 3 lamps how shld d dig look...Just wanted to confirm d answer for this...

chosen has a grade 5.
Calculate the probability that this is the third student chosen
the probability that the 1st student does not have a grade 5 is -> 28/28 - 4-28 = 24/28
the probability that the second student does not have a grade 5 is --> 27/27 - 4/27 = 23/27
the probability that the third student HAS a grade 5 is -> 4/26
multiply them
-
which pastpaper/year is this q from?
and yea.. its the anser 4/26 ??
October 2007 paper 4....No, answer is 92/819

u put that "cracked sin curve" ka symbol between the origin and the next point (all on Y axis) and then put the point above that as 400
something like the attached one
PS : I'm not sure on this one.
and yea...the lamps are connected in parallel or series?
-

can u do both..

nothing attached aadi
-
nothing attached aadi
yea cant see anythin...
-
nothing attached aadi
oh...sry..
the temp. and parallel attached
-
i've shown 1 voltmeter because i assume that all three lamps are identical..
and yea..the question said a voltmeter across 3 lamps..
so is it acorss all three lamps or across 1 of them...??..
which pastpaper/year?
-
October 2007 paper 4....No, answer is 92/819
i edited my above answer
-
but aadi if it says a voltmeter across 3 lamps then it should be attached parrallel to the 3 lamps together...not just 1.....i suppose!!??
-
somebody told me it was like this..
-
but aadi if it says a voltmeter across 3 lamps then it should be attached parrallel to the 3 lamps together...not just 1.....i suppose!!??
read what i had ritten...
i know that it can be across all three lamps...but..the question is weird..
@priyu - which pastpaper/year is this q from?
-
somebody told me it was like this..
if the question means that it has to be across all of them...then it shud be like this..and the series one...i'll edit it..
-
if the graph is like this, and quest start the temperature scale at 40o which is d answer?? The one circled in blue or red?
-
srry accidentle added it twice...
-
i think red!!
-
if the graph is like this, and quest start the temperature scale at 40o which is d answer?? The one circled in blue or red?
it shud be the red one..i suppose...because the origin wont move...but u have to put that symbol...see my other post..i have attached it there..
-

yeah.. but even if the graph is printed on the paper itself??
-
yeah.. but even if the graph is printed on the paper itself??
yea...we do that...because thats what we have learnt in 7th..
-
thanks a looot guys... :)
-
ur welcome!! :)
-
HI ! i dont really know where and how to post and stuf im new... I need help for eco and designe tech? anyone? and got any tips or advice for english paper 3 ? I got $ bloody papers 2mrw la!!!
-
Tips 4 enlgish paper 3.
Highlight main points for the easy 10 content marks and hope to God you have a sense of accurate grammar and e.Take Care for the rest of the paper.
I am personally hoping for an easy narrative so i'll do that.
-
Hey man thanks ;)
Gonna be quite usefull for next wed.
Gl all with the IG's
Thanks once again

what does it means by "greater pin spacing"...does that mean movin the pins away from each other or smthn?
thx in advance
-
means there should be more space between any two pins
if your talking bout this thing done in a light experiment, its done to increase accuracy
-
hi sir,
could you help me in physics igcse the topic electricity and magnetism.....the thing about electromagnetic induction , ac generator, transformers and dc motor please.
thank you
-
Will try
-
what is an optic pin??in physics....
-
Never heard of an optic pin
-
Never heard of an optic pin
i dont know if there is another name for it... we had an exam last month and there was a question about the optic pin....
my friend told me that it is used to make the image of a mirror straight and accurate...
i hope u understand me....
-
The pins used for light experiments? 2 to 3 of them arranged on either side of the prism/glass block and later used to draw rays. TO my knowledge.
Two are used a object. A prism is placed in front of them. The image of the two pins are spotted from the other side and two more pins are arranged in a straight line as seen.

No problemo.
-
hey does somebody kno abt reed switch??
the diag. in the book is slightly different from wat our teacher taught us! ??? !
really confused over tht topic.
thnkx in advance..
-
Reed switch is a glass tube containing two iron reeds sealed inside it.
If the iron is unmagnetized, there is a gap between the reeds and no current can flow. This is called a Normally Open Reed (NO)
If a magnet is brought near the reed switch, there is magnetic induction and the two reeds touch each other. Thus, the current can flow and the circuit is complete.
If an extra non-magnetic contact is added to the reed switch, it can be used as a NC (Normally closed) reed switch.
The current can flow until a magnet is brought near. When a magnet is brought near, one of the reed which is in contact with the non-magnetic contact attracts to the other reed and flow of current stops.
-
yup got this one Thanks and if you dont mind can u gimme some practical applications of this switch?? :)
-
Burglar Alarm.
-
transistor with potential divider please!!!
-
transistor with potential divider please!!!
there are three type u may use a transistor with a potential divider .. its impossible for me to explain u lik this without a diagram .. i dont seem to hav any in softcopy ..
Light Operated Switch Circuit
Time Operated Switch Circuit
Temperature Operated Switch Circuit
each one uses a different arrangements and semiconducting materials/devices .. sorry couldnt help more .. :(
-
Does a burglar alarm use a normally open reed switch or normally closed?

How do you connect a voltmeter to measure the p.d across two lamps in PARALLEL (one voltmeter to measure across the two lamps)?
How can you connect only ONE voltmeter for TWO lamps?
-
How do you connect a voltmeter to measure the p.d across two lamps in PARALLEL (one voltmeter to measure across the two lamps)?
How can you connect only ONE voltmeter for TWO lamps?
a rule for parallel circuits that u should kno is that the p.d is not shared like the series circuit and that;s y u can u se only one voltmeter
