Title: Do You Support Corporal Punishment
Post by: Von2000 on November 18, 2012, 06:49:02 am
A heart rending story

Just recently, I have come across a very touching news story. Some young students were branded with a burning hot stick. Their fault - they were talking to each other in the class! And to top it - the principal, though suspended, was unrepentant. This reminded me of the corporal punishment I used to receive in the form of caning and slaps. This resulted in my bunking classes doing poorly in exams. Finally I completed my education through non-regular stream.

Every civilized person should raise a voice against any kind of corporal punishment meted out to children and students. A petition has been started by some blessed soul which I fully support, and if you feel the same way, you must support it.

Little late reply actually. This is what I have been looking for. That is not fair behavior in the schools and I always against them. This is true that there should be some law against such punishment as this demotivates the students to attend classes regularly or even attend the school.
