Title: Is it ok to laugh in serious situations?
Post by: nid404 on September 21, 2010, 04:39:51 pm
lol Idk why....I think it's someone's influence :P

Yeah so sometimes I tend to laugh when everyone is serious....I think it helps to lighten the seriousness...and stuff :\ But when I crack up people get maaaaddddddd at me....lol

So do you laugh when you're not supposed to? :P

What do you think? Is it mean or you're just crack?  :-\

I know I'm an admin yeah XD

It depends on the situation.

I honestly dislike it when people start joking around when the situation is precarious.

From my point of view its seems the person doesnt understand the gravity of the situation.

All in all, your reactions might be innocent but misinterpretation is what usually causes people to get mad at you ;)

And laughing to lighten the moment isnt a result of you being 'crack'. ;)

I will concede that at times it helps lighten the tension.  :D

So do you laugh when you're not supposed to?  Ya i sometimes do that which is y i get yelled at -__-

What do you think? Is it mean or you're just crack?  well it depends on the situation ;)

But for me for example if i fall straight on my face i will have a GREAT struggle getting up cuz I'll be bursting from laughter u shld check my face at that time ;)

Okay now ignore that but what i wanted to say is i laugh whenever i can :P but once it's a serious situation u'll never see me even blinking ,if u know what i mean ;D

Does no one laugh for no reason at all?  ::)

My mom says when you laugh excessively, when you're not supposed to, you are coined as a...um MANIAC

Yeah well my mom lost the house keys....is that serious? I don't think so  :-\

it depends on the person's nature ofc,
like me, i dont find anythin funny when something serious goin on n thats anything related to me, with my work, cz im sorta realistic n dislike anything going off track with me, may it be studies, any kinda prblms with frns, family matters, etc, thats something im serious with & wud not like anything funny in there from anyone...until they get all settled....
buh u call it selfish-ness or sweetness? idk,
if something srious is goin on with my frns or sumtyms durin a very serious fight between my youngsters [sibs.] lol so yeah i do crack up with my funny languages expression lol n try to lighten the mood before it reaches to something freakin serious or maybe be optimistic n help them sort out stuff....

You laugh at two situations during a serious matter:

When somebody cracks a lame joke, which at that moment sounds amusing because the whole world is serious around you.

When you crack a joke and people around you chuckle.

Sometimes this gets really annoying to some people in such situations, especially if anybody is actually is leading to scenario or is very rational about it. Then in that case that would be very impolite and ignorant. People think what they like to think, if they think the scene is serious, however it might never be so or is nothing but just a stupid drama whatever, then you might as well just play along without complaining  ..or laughing. :P

WHOA HI5 NID!!!!!!!!

Hehe, I feel the same a lot of times. It's like, sometimes it's cz yes, I find the reasons people are getting serious so silly..and well, when it's none of my business, I would just chuckle to myself. Wouldn't show it :). And sometimes, it's cz of a hollow feeling- when things are bad, like really bad...for eg. seeing a friend of yours in pain on the hospital bed, cz she met a bad accident..and legs and hands and jaws screwed up...and...
Well, yeah, does make me feel like a fanatic but I just feel like kicking off everything that's trying to suck me in and laugh like-yeah jerk you cant get stronger than me..I'll show you :P ::). And no, I don't laugh cz I am not serious, in fact it would me and me alone to completely understand the gravity of the situation but well, I know I can't let go, I gotta do something!

I think it is ok to project humour, laugh, and make others laugh in serious and difficult situations cos humour literally makes other people feel better physically. The key to humorous self-expression is finding the something amusing in any situation.Laughter in such situations promotes relaxation and helps people forget their worries.

I've got to agree here...

Whenever we land in trouble and have to face the principle, I'm the first one to break the silence by my laughter.
and a LOUD one! :P

Depends on the situation...
Sometimes, The ones who laugh, its okay for them but others might find it disrespectful :D
If a serious situation is with my friends, i do laugh and also when the teacher is yelling at the whole class I feel like laughing :P
