i heard that there is no more curves this 2010 and there will be fixed marks in order to get a or b is that true ???

nothing was announced on the CIE website, something major like this must be announced, so I doubt it.

Curves in IG's depend on the toughness of exams. Your marks remain unchanged, but your grades are raised. For example, if this year's exam is hard, then whoever gets 60/80 or above will get an A...if however, the exam was dead easy, then whoever gets 75/80 gets an A

AF explained it to you .. you can check the subject grade thresholds over the years, these can be found from free exam papers .. curves are great .. last year 40/80 in the sciences paper got you an A!! ;)

the head of the igcse departmnt in my school says that curves are goin to be cancellled..im serious..we are goin dowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn...ad the reason is : colleged get too many ppl with A*
and they are idiots... :((:( meday meday ! i guess no more laughing to any1 doin the 2010? i( tht includes me)

I strongly suggest re confirming that. CIE proudly proclaims each year how they use curves and not pre-determined thresholds.

Since I asked the teachers in my school and all of them has said that CIE still operates the curve for 2010 exams.

or if u dont find anything mail to them.....
write any crap in the mail, they wont mind :P, they will send u a proper reply

Does CIE actually give you a proper reply? I emailed them twice asking about something and no reply so far.

do we get percentage with the grades of ny individual subjects..u kno subject wise??
also do we get our overall percentage of the results?? :)

u dont get percentages. u get percentiles. 90%ile + = A*
90%ile means that u are in the top 10% of the students appearing for that exam.

By the way is there a minimum grade for an A*?
