Unless you want to fail th&n yes.
Even a Chartered Accountant cannot help you in CIE accounting because practical and theoretical accounting are too different

Yes, preferably. But no teacher can help with theory, it's your own piece of work, wherever you go. Have to use analysis a lot.

You need to know something, whether you will take Accounting or Economics both of them will require hard work.
Now, Accounting is more known as a 'scoring' subject because all what it requires is knowing the concept and then applying to it.
I did Accounting A-level and it was alright. You can depend on yourself but of course having a teacher is always better. Might differ from an A to an A*.
