igcse accounting new syllabus

there is a new syllabus for 2010 may/june exam for accounting 0452 and a chapter called limited company accounts was recently introduces. the onlu material i have for practice is the specimen which holds an easy example. So i was wondering if anyone has done from any other boards or A levels with this chapter? any help would be appreciated because the material provided is very less and the chapter is so hard!

Hey for company accounts you could practice from GCE-O Level papers. Also if you have the book Principles of Accounting you practice from that. I dont remember the author but its a black book and the title is written in red if im not mistaken. There are plenty of sums there!

i googled it and i found a good site with the name. it'll help alot if u could check the author's name for me cuse i asked in the library and she said there is no book with this exact name. i couldnt go checking the whole accounting section of the library :P.

i know!! im soooo upset i just want to do my best in accounting and so far i did pretty bad in paper one which is weird considering how everybody else found it easy!! please if anyone can help me out please do because accounting is one of those subjects i dnt really understand i understand the fundamentals its just those recent chapters im struggling with

Here's a tip.

Do GCE-O Level papers as already suggested. But in a few weeks time the latest May June papers will be uploaded and there were some Limited Company accounts in it.

How do I know ? Because I did that paper ;)

Also buy the book by Catherine Coucom available in India for accounting.

She's the Principal Examiner for Accounting at IGCSE and her textbook is AMAZING !!!
