hey, what do they mean when they say print presenter notes in powerpoint?

I printed out the notes page. That's right isn't it

each time they said resize the image (no values given for resizing) maintaining the aspect ratio to fit column width, i simply enlarged it by dragging the image diagonally. just want to make sure that it is correct.

u got that rite too......u  have to enlarge it diagonally to not distort the image
