For business students, it is not needed.

That is where you are wrong, it is essential under certain circumstances, ANY Ivy league Uni will require the SAT II.
But normal universities in America tke Admissions with the normal SAT...
For medical students, you also need to take the MCAT.

I'll give you just one example. Go to Yale's website (an ivy league). Check their requirements. SAT II is "an option", SAT I is essential though.
By the way, where are you planning to go?
Saladin:
As, you can clearly see from Yale's own admission requirements, here
It requires the SAT I and two subjects from the SAT II.
Please provide a source of information when making claims, I thought I was wrong, but then I checked the website. Because ALL Ivy league Unis WILL require the SAT I and the SAT II.
$tyli$h Executive:
Checking sources is important, but checking them WELL is far more important.
Go to the international students section in the Yale admission page. It is clearly written over there,
" However, there are two exceptions to this:
....students may use completed A level results as a SUBSTITUTE for SAT II, on a one to one basis...... "
Got it now?
You can use your results in A level, that too on only TWO subjects as a substitute for SAT II, as it states a 'one to one' basis. Their requirements are easier than people like you think.
Heck, the exceptions also states students from China do not have to give SAT or ACT at all.
Next time, please make sure to read everything very well before coming to a hurried conclusion like this.
Saladin:
Thank you so much man!
But I still have my doubts because, I heard from a very authenticated source that the SAT II are required for the Ivy regardless of international or national students.
What I am confused about is that, the site was last updated in 2009....the year at the end of the web page....
So I am still confused....
