The examinator's report relates the different errors committed by students who sat for that particular examination of the respective years. So just by knowing the mistakes, students can prevent themselves from doing the mistakes in case you get a similar question for your exams.
Moreover, it also indicates the way you should provide your answer. :D
It can sometimes be quite boring to even think about it, but it's highly beneficial if you, as a student, plan to succeed with flying colours ;)
