^^^ In some areas water when boiled, the inside of kettle becomes coated with layer of CaCO3 This can be removed by adding methanoic acid.... anyone help plz...... ::)

the formula for methanoic acid is HCOOH
meth ---> 1
when you use "meth" you should have 1 Carbon atom in the chain
and there is already 1 carbon atom in the COOH

if you have 2 carbon atoms in the chain, it will be ethanoic acid then ---the formula will be CH3COOH

the blank before HCOOH is for balancing the equation  ;)

Please make it sure with someone  :)
