MissDE:
Uh-huh!

Thank u all..
These are the exact information I need!

Summer :]:
My sister took IB two years ago, and she says it's a real challenge :)~
and for me, next year is my IB beginner year~
She advised me not to take IB math HL, it's a killer she says - although she was a ultra-geeky-eats-math-textbooks girl lol
you cannot take more than one subject but you can take more than one subject for HL, you need to consult with your IB co-ordinator informing him/her.
And as for the options, it depends on your school and how they divided the options
for example: us we have an option between chemistry and physics and i took physics
and between Biology, economics, business studies - i was forced to choose biology since i didnt take economics and business studies for my IGCSE's :(
Im not really sure if the options are the same everywhere around the world, you need to check.~ :)
As for languages, dont you have to take only one language besides english? and you'd best be off with the language you speak best with e.g: you said you're thinking of take arabic, then you should choose it as B, it is easier to gain marks for language B than taking Language A2 which is quite diffcult and needs effort, so i suggest you take any language for language B because you'll be focusing greatly on your sciences and other important subjects other than the languages
Extended essays you just need to write about 4000 words for any topic they set, and oh you CANNOT use numbers in your essays for example let's say: " There are 4 students in our class.."
you should rephrase it and write " There are four students in my class.."
i know it's a pain :p~
I think you choose the right thing to choose IB, because it is very broad indeed especially in math and physics which will help you alot if your going for any engineering major, its considered the hardest! :)~
good luck By the way... and did you choose your subjects yet?

reeses:
