hi. i tried importing but i get errors and most of the dates vanish. many records then have no dates.... ???

also for the query in access, they say it's - Between #1/1/2009# And #31/1/2009# ,
but could I use another formula - Like */1/2009 ?

please help me i these questions!!!  :-\

I advice you to set your computer's settings to UK settings.
Control Panel-Regional Options- and change both options to united kingdom. This might solve your problem

IGfab4:
i tried but it didn't work, here this is the screen shot- (if it didn't come, sorry) the software doesn't allow me to change the formats and i'm forced to do it when th data is already imported.  :-\

and what about the query, is it okay if I use Like #*/01/2009#

please help!!

emi:
that means your not an Admin account. you can also change it like this

when you import your file, first time click next in the second one
when u choose the option " choose first row as field name "
then click the advance options button bellow then from the date format choose " dd/mm/yy"

that;ll work too .

emi:
in the Query just put like this   ( Between 1/1/2009 And 31/1/2009 )  and click enter  * without the brackets *
copy that part exactly from the Question paper . thats it
when u press enter the # thing will show up by its self
