hi. i tried importing but i get errors and most of the dates vanish. many records then have no dates....

also for the query in access, they say it's - Between #1/1/2009# And #31/1/2009# ,
but could I use another formula - Like */1/2009 ?

please help me i these questions!!!

I advice you to set your computer's settings to UK settings.
Control Panel-Regional Options- and change both options to united kingdom. This might solve your problem

i tried but it didn't work, here this is the screen shot- (if it didn't come, sorry) the software doesn't allow me to change the formats and i'm forced to do it when th data is already imported. 

and what about the query, is it okay if I use Like #*/01/2009#

that means your not an Admin account. you can also change it like this

when you import your file, first time click next in the second one
when u choose the option " choose first row as field name " 
then click the advance options button bellow then from the date format choose " dd/mm/yy"

that;ll work too .

in the Query just put like this   ( Between 1/1/2009 And 31/1/2009 )  and click enter  * without the brackets *
copy that part exactly from the Question paper . thats it   
when u press enter the # thing will show up by its self

No it should work. Or as Emii said

For the dates, there is a formula called between forumla.

Between "Expr" And "Expr"   Put instead Expr the dates required.

there's some problem with my access, it says it's in Access 2000 file format.......there are no advance options and it obstructs me from fixing it......but i can do it in school.....

do you know how to fix this???
and how do you make an anchor??

if you are using office 2003 then u must have this option





or either you go to your Administrator account  from regional settings change the country from US english to  UK english, that wil work too
