Yes, but Symantec cannot be bought and used by the general public, you may have gotten in from a Business...
Symantec only sells to Businesses as a company brand.
It's Public brand is Norton.

If you're installing in windows 7, you have to uncheck the "Start Auto Protect after installation finishes" function. You can activate it after the installation is finished.
I don't know... my dad got it from somewhere. Since then, we've used this and never even considered switching to another. It was first, "Symantec antivirus corporate edition" then came "Symantec Endpoint protection", which is the latest version.
Version 12 is the latest.
