work done(driving force)_work done(resistive force)=change in mechnical energy

work done by driving force= p.e+k.e+ work done against resistive forces
remember that work done by resistive forces will always be taken positive, while p.e and k.e can also be negative depending on whether they increase or decrease

jst rem work by driving force _wrk by resistive force=chnge in mchnical energy
chnge in mchnical is gain in PE - loss in Ke
or viceversa
and power=driving force * velocity
so driving force incase power is given =power/v
