ya , because every time it will have a different reaction time, so u have to repeat and take average

Book lover22:
Dependent variable was resistance cuz da question clearly said ' ohmeter acts as a light indicator' so an ohmeter measures in terms of resistance which is directly proportional to light intensity...but u cant literally see da light intensity varyin rite? i dunno if this is ryt but dats my logic..hehehe  so i agree wid Austrakast! :D

Book lover22:
Hey hold on i made my graph throught da straight line n got my refractive index  as 1.46 which is close 2 da real value of glass (1.49) but why is every1 sayin not thru da origin cus i made a best fit line by missin da first point! also my reason was dat sin 1 is directly proportional 2 sin r!

im confused :S

Black Kitty:
As for the above rest, I agree with y'all...But I still think

1. The dependent variable for the LDR should be distance probably
2. Any correct sini/sinr graph must pass through the origin....Check this out.....http://www.thealy.com/LCPhysics/exp/exp06/snell_values.htm
3. As for my value of 1.59, that too should be just right as the previous mark scheme guidelines tell the examiner to allow for the ans between a max diference of 0.3........

Darth Austrakast:
the independent variable is distance-the one which you can control and change; the dependent variable is light intensity which changes as you change the independent variable, in this case resistance
