First you have to calculate the area under the bars.

(1*6)+(1*7)+(4*2)+(2*6)+(3*5.5)+(5*2)+(3*1.5)+(12*0.5)

=70

Therefore, now calculating the number of people per unit area.


Work out the area in the interval given.
