Can somebody help me in electronics I dont understand anything?esp.transistors which current is amplified why????What is diode ,What is Half-wave/fullwave rectification,What is time base in CRO.and thermistors also.......thx

Transistors
A diode is a device that turns AC current into DC current.
A half wave rectifier will block off alternating current:
A full wave will make that half into the same direction:
For CRO, this is a nice site:
