Biology Unit 3, the dependant variables and independant variables.
Ibiza279:
i dont get what they mean by a dependent variable and an independent variable. ???
eg. in the beetroot experiment for checking the redness of the dye, they asked for the independent variable, ( Jan 2010 U3 ) :-\
can someone help plz :-\, define dependent and independent variable with help of an example plzzzz !!!!!
Saladin:
The independant variable is the variable that you control. For example, let me use an easier experiment.
Like the temperature effect on enzymes. The temperature is the independant variable. Because this is the one that you control
The dependat variable e.g. is the rate at which starch is digested.
Like that.
Hope that helps.
