you know the question about the find the coordinates of the midpoint of the diagonal... there was no need to use simultaneous eq ryt>>>???? and for the gradient i wrote 3x+y=14.. doesnt the gradient stay the same... in a parallell line???

hi, i'm new here, but I just want to know if anyone can remember the question that you had to change m^2 to mm^2 ???
and about the english language, is there always a summary question?

no there was no need, for me, i just substituted x and y for the co-ordinates of the point m, yes the gradient stays the same for parallel lines, its the y-intercept that is different, so in other words your answer is very correct

Qs. 3...... i dont get b(ii
 and also
Qs.9 - can ne one tell me what sequence SHCEME B is following... - i think marking scheme is wrong.
that would be Qs.9 a(ii) Scheme B.

Hey im new to this forums and I dont want to sound like a hysteric but theres somethings in the recent paper 2 exam I want to make sure of.
In the change the subject x question, I got the correct answer but I wrote x=(correct answer) but they already  wrote x= we just had to write the answer, is it ok if I scatched the printed (x=) and wrote it myself?
Also the R on the shading part I wrote R in pen not pencil is it ok? I did the shading with pencil just the R in pen.. Also the maximum speed I got it 16.25 but I dont remeber writing m/s, the unit is it fine?

The unit for the speed was already given.

really? *phew* what a relief I dont remeber writing it so thank god it was already given..
By the way how much marks does the "time in minute and seconds" question carry, it was about that elevator in the snow or something the ii part, I got it wrong :( and I got the equation of line wrong and the midpoint wrong how much do you the marks total which I lost?

Let me sum this up for you so you'll understand it better,

take 1 square meter, 1 square meter which has side 1 meter has an area of:
m x m =m^2

since one meter is 1000 mm changing from m^2 to mm^2 involves the following;

m x m = 1000mm x 1000mm = m^2
so you just had to multiply it by 1000000 and youll get an answer of 1.67 x 10^7

Mid-point Coordinates : [(X + X1) / 2 ) ,(Y + Y1) / 2 )]

Gradient of Parallel Lines are the same. So a line with equation y = -3 x + 14 will have a grdient of - 3 and y-intercept at (0, 14).
Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

It went okay, I'm doing all my exams earlier too, though the question was a bit tough, I spent 30 minutes trying to figure out what they were saying  :-[
