Oh, this is different! Umm..which one is correct? I don't get it.. :\ In the mark scheme it says - arc through D radius BD, some indication that the arc is from D to D1.  

Pls help!

I guess mine is correct now that u said "arc" cuz his doesnt have any arcs. But i dont understand why they say radius BD

Its easy .. how could i not get it .. they ask draw the locus of the point of 'D' .. meaning where was it initially .. at 90 ^o anticlockwise ..

hope the diag explains the rest ..

Yes, you were correct but the mark scheme says stuff about BD radius and so I think we need to show those lines.

ok u hav to give me a question to explain this..

y = 10^x

x = log y

now, i know u guyz dont know log. but that is the answer, u have to give me a question like this one..

(a) Calculate f(0.5).

(b) Write down the value of f ^-1(1).

i dont get the "b" part
how do u find the inverse of 10^x

Answer : if u havent learnt log. try this method

f-1(1) means, for what value of x in 10^x will u get 1

answer = 0

for e.g f(x) = x+2

          f-1x = x-2

f(2) = 4

put 4 in f-1x and u shud get 2

4 -2 = 2

see?

Ohh okay! But I get 8.5 cm when I measure, thats only because its not the original paper right? Otherwise I would get close to 10 I think :|
