ai) VW = VU + UX + XW = -a + b + 2a = a+b

aii) TU = TX + XU = a-b

aiii) TP = TW + WP = 3a+b

aiv) OP = OZ + ZP = 1.5a + 0.5b

b = a-b = TU = 4 units

23 a) VW = a + b
simply because VW is in the same direction as a and b

ii)TU = a - b
TU in the same direction as 'a' but opp. to 'b'

iii) is attached .. its a bit complicated ..




wonder how i got UA as 'b'
VA is clearly b-a
so 'UA' + AV should be equal to "a"
so UV = UA + AV
a = UA +  a - b
so UA = b

same stuff for BP WB also which gives us a

so adding UA , AB , BP and TU u get TP
=b + (a +b) + a
= 3a +b

gosh pls. dont freal out if u dont understand .. i did my best to explain ..

iv) from origin position ov p is 1/2 TP
= 1.5a + 1/2 b
 v) is simply count no. of blocks of TU = 4
