Chemistry Organic Reaction Mechanisms (CIE)
« on: April 16, 2010, 02:30:05 pm »
In the CIE Chemistry Syllubus they ask the following:

describe the mechanism of free-radical substitution at methyl groups with particular
reference to the initiation, propagation and termination reactions

describe the mechanism of electrophilic addition in alkenes, using bromine/ethene as an
example

describe the mechanism of nucleophilic substitution (by both SN1 and SN2 mechanisms) in
halogenoalkanes

describe the mechanism of the nucleophilic  addition reactions of hydrogen cyanide with
aldehydes and ketones

Does any one have any notes on the listed topics, If yes can you please attach them. It would be really useful.
