Isn't this already a rule found in the formula booklet given in the exam? That the integral of cosec
2
x = -cot x.
Actually its under the rules in the C3 differentiation section, when f(x) = cot x f'(x) = -cosec
2
x. So we just reverse it when we need to integrate.

please resort to book for more help
also, formulas are present in formula book.
