I do not get the purpose of the titration what is the titrant exactly?
the only thing i do get are the ionic equations (thank goodness..)

Thanks By the way ..waiting for the PDF ;D
the thing is the book gives us two ways..as it seems..
Iodine and thiosulfate
the potassium iodide with iodate (V)
are they both combined together or we should use one of them?

the titrant is iodine thio sulfate, and wat they are basically trying to find out is the purity of potassium iodate(V).

now, the idea is that you have find the purity of a compound.

Now, the idea of finding out the purity is simply to make u understand redox, and combine it with how you can get iodine out.

This is simply another experiment with halogens.
