Batch : Data collected over a period of time, processed at one go. Examples include producing utility bills.
Online : Contacts the server computer, updated real time. Examples include booking tickets.

Online = / = instantaneously, whereas real time processing is.

Hardware O.O The filtering bit is inaccurate. Prevents unauthorised access to a computer network would suffice in gaining you 3 / 3.
